Join us for this week-long workshop and spark your creativity through the art of noticing.
In this workshop we will work around the importance of what we see, observe and focus on. It will be a week of playful investigation in the way we look at things and how this can be meaningful in our creative process and lives. We will do this through different artistic media like drawing, photography and storytelling.

“Our life experience will equal what we have paid attention to,
whether by choice or default”
– William James
Are you ready to dive deeper into the world around you? To truly see, hear, and notice what is easily overlooked? By joining this workshop, you will develop the skill of being truly attentive to your surroundings, and the power this can have on your perception and creativity.
Develop a stronger sense of noticing and nurture your unique perspective and your creative thinking.
Gain a richer understanding of how your perception of the outside world is linked to your inner self and how this allows you to inspire you on your personal creative journey.
We will encourage a sense of curiosity, wonder and observation.
We will experience the power of slowing down and allow our curious minds to wander.
We will tap into different media:
- Drawing/painting: Allow the act of drawing to bring forth your attention to shapes, lines, and colours, nurturing your ability to observe with intention.
- Photography/video: learn to capture moments and frame scenes to tell stories through the camera’s lens, revealing hidden treasures in everyday scenes.
- Storytelling: uncover the narratives lurking in the world around us, and discover the art of finding a story in even the simplest of moments or details.
- Poetry: explore the beauty of language and self-expression, using words to capture the essence of what you observe.
The thrill of discovering and the joy of exploration await. We will be reframing the familiar and practice seeing things from unconventional perspectives, extracting beauty and significance from anything or anywhere.
Note: No prior experience in the arts or any specific field is required. All levels of expertise and interests are welcome. Simply come with an open mind and a willingness to explore.and interests are welcome. Come with an open mind and a willingness to explore.
